“The Executive Committee has authority to act on behalf of the governing body between meetings. The Committee is comprised of the President, Past-President, President-Elect, three Vice-Presidents and Treasurer.”

“Members shall include all persons who have attended the University of Nevada, Reno for not less than one semester as fully accredited students, all persons who have received honorary degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno and all emeritus faculty. Dues-paying members of the Association include current annual or lifetime members. Honorary membership in the Association may be conferred upon those friends and benefactors of the University of Nevada, Reno whose services this Association desires to recognize. The Association's Alumni Council may award such membership.”

“The Executive Director of Alumni Engagement and the Controller of the Foundation review the draft of the Form 990 before filing.”

“Annually the board signs governing documents which includes a conflict-of-interest policy, conflict of interest statement, document retention policy, governance policy, schedule of documents for retention and whistleblower policy. The Association, Alumni Council Members, Officers, Staff Members, Committee Staff and Committee Members are covered by this policy. The President will determine whether a conflict exists. For each interest disclosed, the President will determine if action should be taken depending on the nature of the conflict. Restrictions imposed will be dependent on the nature of the conflict.”

“The Alumni Association does not establish the compensation for the Executive Director. Compensation is determined by the University of Nevada, Reno, a related organization, and the Alumni Association relied on a related organization to establish compensation.”

“Governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements are maintained at the Organization's business office and are provided upon request”
