| ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt | 0 | We are writing to respectfully request an abatement of any penalties associated with the late filing of our Form 990-EZ for the tax year ending 2024. Our organization experienced unexpected challenges over the past year with bookkeeping and financial management. Specifically two contracted bookkeepers failed to fulfill the terms of their agreements leaving key duties incomplete and financial records disorganized. As a result we were unable to compile the necessary documentation in time to meet the 990-EZ filing deadline. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation our Executive Director personally enrolled in an accounting course and completed QuickBooks training to take direct responsibility for organizing and managing the organizations finances. We have since implemented improved internal systems and are now up to date and confident in our financial reporting processes. We are committed to ensuring that this will not happen again. |
