“Board members are required to annually sign a Conflict of Interest policy statement. These are gathered and reviewed by the Executive Director. Any conflicts of interest are documented and addressed with the respective board member as well as the board chair. Any board members with identified conflicts of interest will abstain from voting on the matter during the calendar year. Quarterly board meetings also include time to discuss hiring of new consultants/vendors so board members have the opportunity to disclose potential conflicts.”
