“Wright house's mission is to build an educational community that inspires and engages youth through collaborative partnerships with the fashion design industry. The goal is to create opportunities for youth from under- represented populations to develop leadership, teamwork, and civic engagement skills through creative expression.”

“12 apprentice entrepreneurs received hands-on training in branding, digital illustration, and apparel design. Training included mentorship from industry professionals and access to advanced design software and tools. One full-time apprentice got 300 hours of on-line training and 3,000 hours of online education through penn foster.”

“More than 50 young people took advantage of various educational opportunities. In the upscaling workshop participants created unique pieces using old or unused clothing, patchwork, distressing, embroidery and fabric painting. Summer workshops were offered in coding, natural dye and fiber arts, graphic design and fashion, introduction to sewing, youth ai design and fashion technology.”

“Creative lab provided more than 200 hours of space and computer usage for teaching and artistic development. Each week wright house becomes a community art space for 20 to 25 artists, designers and makers to gather, collaborate and explore new ideas.”

“45 to 50 young people attended a series of music concerts supported by a local business. Creative therapy workshops helped 15 participants engage in activities designed to support mental health and self-expression. A community fridge was launched to provide food access for those in need.”
