| Alive Series - This is a weekly series of 8 sessions for young adults that includes free dinner, a relevant talk, and lively discussion in small groups. This series is designed to be attractive to non-Christians, non-practicing Christians, semi-practicing Christians, and practicing Christians who still feel like something is missing in their life. To that end, the series is held in a secular coffee shop that is popular among local young adults. A leadership team of young adult disciples is trained to give the talks, facilitate small group discussion, and perform 1:1 meetings in order to guide the participants into a new or deeper relationship with the Lord. Because of the time commitment necessary for personal accompaniment, each series is limited to 24 young adults - 18 participants divided into three small groups for discussion, plus 6 team members who lead each small group in pairs. The series is held twice a year, in each spring and fall, serving up to 48 young adults. | $0 | $13,214 |
| Ablaze Groups - These are small Christian communities that gather regularly to pray and study. These included multiple Bible Studies, a men's group, a women's group, a faith and mental health group, and more. Each group is led by a faith formator who either has been through specialized training or has earned a theology/ministry degree in order to provide solid faith formation and guide the participants. These groups reached around 100 young adults in 2024. | $0 | $8,317 |
| Community Building - Young adults active in the community gather together and invite their friends to participate in social activities that both build up the local community of disciples and provide a place for new people to "come and see" an authentic Christian community (the Body of Christ). These activities reached around 150 young adults in 2024. | $0 | $6,059 |
| Intentional Discipleship - Intentional Discipleship is a weekly series of 12 sessions that focuses on the next steps of one's personal spiritual journey to help them grow as well as on ways to walk with other people along their spiritual journeys to help others grow. This series introduces participants to the Ablaze Mission model of forming missionary disciples and provides evangelization training to accompany their peers, co-workers, and family. It serves as our leadership training to produce young adult leaders for all of our programs. This series formed 12 young adult leaders in 2024. | $0 | $3,557 |
| Return Outreach - One way of reaching non-practicing young adults is through their parents (and grandparents). This ministry provides support, training, and resources to the parents of young adults so that they can guide their children back to a relationship with Jesus and his Church. Otherwise, parents often unintentionally push their children further away. Ongoing support for these parents is provided since the process of their children returning to the faith can take a very long time. Activities include special Masses, prayer sessions, talks, book studies, and more. In 2024, attendance at these events was over 200 people. | $0 | $1,369 |
| Called & Gifted - This program, created by the Catherine of Siena Institute (CSI), involves a 3-step process: attending a Weekend Workshop, participating in a Gifts Interview, and an 8-week Discernment in Depth series. When someone is baptized, they are given charisms, gifts of the Holy Spirit that enable them to be a channel of God's love, truth, beauty, and mercy for others. Discovering one's charisms is key to living out their God-given mission and vocation. This process is designed to help someone learn about charisms and to lead them through the process of discovering the unique way that God works through them supernaturally to benefit those around them. In 2024, this program served 20 young adult participants and 2 young adults were sponsored for leadership training by CSI. | $0 | $1,315 |
| Leadership Formation - Occasional external activities for the leaders of programs to continue growing as missionary disciples beyond our own leadership training. In 2024, we subsidized and facilitated carpools for around 20 young adults to attend the USCCB National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis and purchased seats at a local annual Right to Life Dinner. | $0 | $867 |
| Retreat - The planning was begun in 2024 for our first annual overnight retreat, which would take place during Lent in March 2025. This 3-day retreat at a Catholic retreat center begins on a Friday evening and ends after lunch on Sunday. Retreatants spend time together praying, hearing multiple talks on the spiritual life, experiencing the sacraments (Mass, Adoration, and Confession), singing and praising through music, discussing reflection questions in small groups, enjoying social time, and more. This retreat enables participants to step back from daily life for a long enough period of time to reflect on and reorient their relationship with the Lord. As a result, the young adults would then re-enter daily life with a renewed focus on journeying with God in their family, career, and other areas of life. A leadership team of 10 young adults were trained to plan the retreat, guide their peers through the weekend, give short talks and testimonies, lead breakout sessions, and facilitate small group discussion. This effort ultimately served 60 young adult retreatants. | $0 | $845 |
