“Earthchildren rescue incorporated has a conflict of interest policy that requires all identified and reported conflicts of interest to be taken to the governing board who will provide the individual with an opportunity to disclose all material facts related to situation that warranted disclosure. The board will collect all pertinent information and question the parties involved. If the board determines that a conflict does not exist, the inquiry will be documented and no further action will be undertaken. Upon disclosure and evaluation of a conflict of interest, the board will take appropriate action to address the conflict, which may include recusal from decision-making processes, divestment of conflicting interests, or other measures deemed necessary to mitigate the conflict. Affected parties within and outside of earthchildren will be notified. If the conflict of interest in question involves a member of the board, that individual will be excused from all deliberations related to it.”
