THE DIOCESE HAS ENGAGED THE FOUNDATION TO COLLECT, DISTRIBUTE, AND ACCOUNT FOR ALL FUNDS RAISED. THESE FUNDS ARE GENERALLY TO BE SHARED 65% DIOCESE AND 35% PARISHES, AND PLEDGE PAYMENTS ARE EXPECTED OVER A PERIOD OF APPROXIMATELY FIVE YEARS. A MAJORITY OF THE DIOCESE PORTION OF FUNDS RAISED DURING THE CAMPAIGN WILL BE RETAINED BY THE FOUNDATION IN THE FORM OF ENDOWMENT ACCOUNTS. ALL THIRD-PARTY EXPENSES NECESSARY TO CONDUCT THE CAMPAIGN WILL BE PAID FROM THE DIOCESE PORTION OF FUNDS RAISED, AND IT IS EXPECTED THAT THE MAJORITY OF THESE EXPENSES WILL OCCUR WITHIN THE FIRST TWO YEARS. THEREFORE, THE EXPENSES OF THE FOUNDATION WILL BE ABNORMALLY HIGH IN THE FIRST TWO YEARS, AS PLEDGE PAYMENTS ARE BEGINNING TO BE COLLECTED. THEN IN THE REMAINING YEARS OF THE CAMPAIGN, THE EXPENSES WILL TAPER OFF AS PLEDGE PAYMENTS CONTINUE TO BE COLLECTED.
