The Monarch Circle's primary exempt purpose is charitable. Monarch Circle plans to fund itself primarily through grants, and contributions so that we can fulfill our mission of providing tools of recovery to men and women who have been traumatized through sexual abuse. Further, the organization wishes to open the dialogue, and help inform people of the nature of sexual abuse in our country. Our services include: giving presentations, hosting dialogue sessions, group circles to teach tools of recovery, and to help men and women equally that are affected by this issue.

Timing and Service Volumes: Past - The CEO of The Monarch Circle, Tenita Johnson, has had resounding success with hosting, and participating in sessions of healing for men and women, being featured on Kirk Franklin's Praise Sirius XM Channel. Her devotion to help women and men heal from the trauma of sexual culminated in 2021 with her groundbreaking anthology, HUSH: Breaking the Cycle of Silence Around Sexual Abuse. Current - To have a wider impact, Tenita Johnson formed The Monarch Circle. This organization will be focused to broaden the impact of healing brought about by the CEO, and further an important national dialogue that has been largely ignored. How service furthers mission: The service furthers the mission by creating a safe environment for individuals to be open, and real about their trauma. By allowing survivors to express themselves, encouraging the development of their voice, and suggesting different tools of healing all culminate in furthering the mission of helping individuals heal from the trauma they suffered. We view the services provided through this program as charitable within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Percentage of Time: Monarch Circles, and their management will be ongoing, and use the support of approximately 70% of The Monarch Circle's volunteers. This program will take about 45% of The Monarch Circle's time. Funding: At present the majority of The Monarch Circle's funding is from contributions from individuals. The Monarch Circle's first priority for funding is to secure local grants. As the organization's programming grows, there will be revenue from Program Service Fees paid by clients. Lastly, The Monarch Circle will focus on creating a Major Donors outreach plan.
