The cpa firm prepares an initial draft of the form 990, which is then reviewed by management and the audit committee of the board of directors. Any recommended changes and comments are considered, and the form 990 is updated. After approval by management and the audit committee, a complete copy of the form 990 is distributed to the entire board prior to filing with the internal revenue service.”
