Supporting the campaign to pass ranked choice voting for the city of Richmond California in Nov 2024. Cal RCV raised over $50,000 from partner nonprofits and individuals that support election reform to fund mailers and other campaign activities. We also provided campaign consulting providing information about RCV and strategic input. Cal RCV works with local partners when possible and for Richmond the local partner campaigning in favor of Measure L is East Bay Working Families.$57,664$70,659
Supporting efforts to pass ranked choice voting in Santa Clara County California. As part of an ongoing effort to get the Board of Supervisors to implement RCV based on a 1998 measure that was passed by voters that authorizes the county to move to RCV also called Instant Runoff Voting.$0$12,995
Voter outreach and education not specific to any one campaign. Across the state of California our staff and volunteers regularly canvass events to educate the general public about what ranked choice voting is how it works and why we believe its an important reform for California. These activities lay the groundwork for future ballot measure campaigns and legislative lobbying efforts by building grassroots awareness and support for RCV.$0$12,000
