IRS990/Desc0STANDING IN SOLIDARITYStanding in Solidarity provides a lifeline for systems-impacted young people 12-24, disrupting the school-to-prison pipeline through mentorship, education, and advocacy. It is a comprehensive youth development program offered in schools, juvenile halls, and other settings. Young people build healthy relationships with peers and positive adult mentors, explore social and restorative justice, and gain a sense of agency and possibility that sets them up for lifelong success. 2024 Restore 180 provided mentorship, advocacy, and education to 41 young adults as part of the OUD and STUD Prevention and Education in Communities of Color to build supportive relationships, advocate for their needs, and help them navigate challenges. As a result of participating in the program, these young adults increased their confidence, became effective self-advocates, and developed a commitment to learning, social skills, and positive values.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0LIBERATION REENTRYLiberation Reentry is a comprehensive, relationship-based mentorship and case management program designed to pair participants with credible mentors to support youths leaving detention, provide resources to navigate reentry, and successfully avoid reincarceration. Mentors meet with participants at least once weekly to define and work on individual goals, help young people connect to education and job opportunities, and navigate their probation or court requirements. Walking alongside young persons as they navigate reentry has been proven to improve life outcomes and reduce recidivism.Reintegrating back into the community after being involved with the juvenile justice system can be an immense challenge for youth. Reentry services are crucial to facilitate a successful transition and reduce the likelihood of recidivism. Restore 180 proudly joins the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council (JJCC), deepening our commitment as a community-based organization dedicated to transforming young lives. Through this partnership, we will ensure the implementation process of the comprehensive multi-agency juvenile justice plan authentically amplifies the voices and addresses the needs of youth across Kings County. Our presence at this table represents our unwavering dedication to creating pathways of hope and opportunity for the young people we serve.The probation department refers youth to Restore 180 to develop personalized reentry plans and comprehensive needs assessments tailored to each young person's unique circumstances. We are modeling a therapeutic and holistic approach that addresses their emotional, educational, social, and practical needs. By meeting youth where they are and involving them in their healing journey, Restore 180 creates pathways toward lasting positive change and successful community reintegration.

This direct support dismantles barriers to opportunities and resources as participants navigate the legal system. The Restoration and Resiliency Fund acknowledges that economic hardship, involvement with the justice system, and systemic barriers often overlap, creating compounded obstacles that can be challenging to overcome. In 2024, Restore 180 supported over 20 families by providing financial assistance, legal aid, counseling, groceries, and advocacy with funding from major donors like the East Bay Community Foundation and The California Endowment. Through our Restoration and Resilience Fund, we've provided critical support to youth and families facing urgent challenges. The fund serves as a lifeline, covering emergency needs when families have nowhere else to turn.Each story represents a moment when our community stepped in to prevent a crisis from becoming a catastrophe. From helping a single mother keep her electricity on during a harsh winter to ensuring a teenager has transportation to continue their education, these interventions create lasting stability.By addressing immediate emergencies, we allow families to focus on long-term solutions rather than day-to-day survival. This approach doesn't just resolve crisesit builds resilience that strengthens our entire community.
