Thereafter the directors approve the Form 990 and schedules, which are then signed by the Officer and submitted to the IRS through e-filing.”

In these three states, FEM reached an estimated ten million additional listeners. In collaboration with three local partners, FEM: i) held two focus groups ii) developed two ads in local languages, based on desk research and the focus groups, and had them reviewed by the Ministry of Health and community leaders to ensure they were culturally sensitive, iii) held a stakeholder workshop with over forty attendees, v) aired and monitored radio ad and show content, and vi) surveyed forty target listeners to gather feedback that would assess the impact of the ads and shows, as well as inform the development of the next shows and ads. |

Also, FEM developed a new technology to evaluate the impact of the radio based campaigns. The technology is a transmitter that identifies when FEM's content is on air, and replaces it with music withina specific radius from the transmitter location. This results in the audience within this radius not exposed to the ads abd shows temporarily. With this technology, FEM can randomize listeners into control and treatment groups, making it possible to conduct randomized controlled trials of radio interventions in regions where this was previously not possible. FEM is currently using this technology in two locations in Kano. |
