“The organization's primary purpose is youth development through direct programs, such as christmas shopping trips for under privileged children, cultural events, and donations to youth sporting programs, school activities, scholarships, and other youth oriented activities.”

“In collaboration with the mansfield noon optimist club, the foundation supports 3 college scholarships open for residents of richland county, ohio. High school seniors and those currently enrolled in a full time undergraduate program are eligible to complete an application which includes two character references along with community and school activities statements as well as their official high school or college transcript.”

“The foundation sponsors a quality student program which selects 2 students from each high school in richland county, ohio. The foundation works through each school's principal and guidance counselors to select each student based on academics, school and community activities and leadership qualities. There is an annual awards banquet to recognize the students publically. Including the student's families and school administrators. The program beneftis approximently 100 person in richland county.”

“The optimist club members go christmas shopping for 40 under priviledged children buying them needed clothing items. The foundation also sponsors a breakfast with santa event where children have breakfast with the optimist members, receive their gifts, and get to meet santa.”

“Optimist day event-the foundation sponsored an event at the buckeye imagination museum whichis a local children's museum in mansfield, ohio for 125 local children. Inaddition to the use of the museum, each child received snacks, a drinkand a ticket to the richland carrousel park, a local children's merry-go-round.”
