| In early 2023 Dauntless Veteran Foundation awarded $40,000 to five selected and eligible Veterans. $8,000 was given to invest in an Ag Leader yield monitor and mapping device for the combine and fertilizer spreader at the grant recipient's 800 acre farm. This technology allows them to measure product quality in the field, identify weak spots, and make informed decisions on soil samples and fertilizer use. $10,000 to purchase a portable saw mill, and log splitter with a log lift. Since getting these tools, the grant recipient has worked to reduce forest overgrowth and prevent wildfires, harvesting the overgrown wood and putting it to good use - some of the wood harvested was used for raised beds in the state governor's mansion! $15,750 was given to purchase a BCS walk behind tractor with implements. With the enhanced tractor, the grant recipient has been able to expand their operations and is now offering cover crop management to local farmers and landowners, helping local vineyards plant cover crops and prepare soil to plant pollinators. $5,750 was given to purchase a grain grinder, hay crusher, and pellet mill with the intent to help the recipient become self-sufficient and provide the local community and surrounding areas with quality Nubian goats, goats' milk, Mangalitsa pigs and pork, and alfalfa and Sericea hay/pellets. A $500 need based grant was given to help expand the recipients young operation in growing mushrooms and selling spawn kits to their local community. | $40,000 | $0 |
| In the Spring of 2024 the Dauntless Veteran Foundation awarded $29,158.12 to six selected and eligible Veterans. $6,000 was awarded to expand a maple syrup operation with the purchase of a new evaporator stove. The stove doubled their taps and the size of their stove streamlining the evaporation process and increasing the amount of maple syrup they produce to sell to the public. 100% of the proceeds go back into supporting veteran families to stay at their retreat home. $1,300 was awarded to help purchase a reverse osmosis machine, cutting the processing time from big-leaf maple sap to big-leaf maple syrup in half. This greatly increased how much maple syrup they are able produce and reduced the amount of time it takes to produce it. $4,175 was awarded for equipment to help increase crop yield and enrich the onsite farm educational experience. Equipment purchased: A Jeng 3-row seeder to maximize bed space and save time by eliminating thinning. A wheel hoe to process beds and ailses quickly and effectively. A second broadfork, hoes, shovels, pick axe, and pitch fork to aid in showing veterans, interns and volunteers how to use them while working the crops and turning compost alongside of them. $3,400 was awarded to cover seed costs for the 2024/2025 growing season for a newly established hard neck garlic operation $8,500 was awarded to purchase a bison chute to use for restraining the animals. It helped make handling the animals safer and more efficient resulting in higher quality meat. $5,783.12 was awarded to purchase an additional mobile range coop, allowing the awardee to produce an additional 1,000 broilers per year. Having the ability to grow more broilers will allow them to continually provide pasture raised poultry for their community and have meat in stock year around. | $29,158 | $0 |

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 0 | In the Spring of 2024 the Dauntless Veteran Foundation awarded $29,158.12 to six selected and eligible Veterans. |
