Mission

The Never Alone Clubhouse Inc is a nonprofit Recovery Community Organization RCO founded and led by people with direct lived experience with substance use challenges and recovery. The Never Alone Clubhouse Inc serves the substance use community in Douglas County Georgia and surrounding counties treating the individual's whole life including mind body spirit and community.

NAC is a recovery community organization RCO. As an RCO our organization organizes recovery focused policy advocacy activities carries out recovery focused community education and outreach programs and provides peer-based recovery support services RCC. Our broadly defined recovery community is people based in long-term recovery their families friends and allies and the recovery focused addiction and recovery professionals. NAC presents and reflects religious spiritual and secular pathways. Our sole mission as an RCO is to mobilize resources within and outside of the recovery community to increase the prevalence and quality of long-term recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. Public education policy advocacy and peer-based recovery support services are the strategies through which our mission is achieved.

Part VI, Line 6

NAC is organized as a stock corporation with an elected Board of Directors and Officers. The 5 Officers of NAC are elected by the 9 Board of Directors. There are a total of 9 Board of Directors of which 7 of the Board Members are not compensated by NAC. Of the 9 Board of Directors 5 Board Members also serve as officers of which 2 of the officers receive compensation.

Part VI, Line 11B

The Form 990 is prepared by an External tax accountant and then reviewed by the Executive Director and Board Member Jocelyn Wallace before submission to the IRS. The Form 990 is later reviewed with the Board of Directors during the regular monthly Board Meeting by both the tax accountant and Jocelyn Wallace.

A review of the policy is made at monthly Board of Directors meetings.

The Board of Directors reviews and approves the compensation of all employees of the NAC including wage increases.

Part III, line 3

The Co-Responder program with Douglas County was discontinued during 2024. NAC partnered with the Douglas County Georgia emergency services EMS agencies Douglas County Fire Department and EMS. NAC assisted upon request EMS calls involving substance abuse situations. NAC were on call to provide these services. This program began in 2023 and ended in 2024 after a one year Douglas County allocation period. Funding was cut due to budget limitations in 2024.

Part XII, Line 2C

NAC is undergoing its first external financial audit for the calendar year 2024. Therefore a financial auditor is required to be selected and approved by the Board of Directors and overseen by the audit committee of the Board of Directors.

IRS990/MissionDesc0NAC is a recovery community organization RCO. As an RCO our organization organizes recovery focused policy advocacy activities carries out recovery focused community education and outreach programs and provides peer-based recovery support services RCC. Our broadly defined recovery community is people based in long-term recovery their families friends and allies and the recovery focused addiction and recovery professionals. NAC presents and reflects religious spiritual and secular pathways. Our sole mission as an RCO is to mobilize resources within and outside of the recovery community to increase the prevalence and quality of long-term recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. Public education policy advocacy and peer-based recovery support services are the strategies through which our mission is achieved.
