“Ems worked with the american lung association (ala) and with other local stakeholders to perform tasks to launch, operate, and expand a regional electric vehicle carshare service, the ev spot network. Accomplishments in 2024 included working with stakeholders to finish deploying the full set of chargers, and designing and implementing user surveys to learn how people used the service. Half of users said that they used the ev spot network to get to medical care. Three-quarters said that carshare allowed them to not own a car, saving substantial money at a time of financial stress. Drawing on those and other measures, ems led development of lessons learned from the design and launch of the ev spot network, for use by other communities, locally as well as around the country.”
