“The Form 990 was prepared by the organizations management using financial records maintained throughout the year. The Executive Director reviewed the Form 990 in detail for accuracy and completeness. A draft of the Form 990 was provided to the organizations Board of Directors prior to filing and board members were given the opportunity to review and ask questions. The Form 990 was approved for filing by the Executive Director following this review process.”

“The organization regularly and consistently monitored and enforced compliance with its policies throughout the year. Compliance oversight was carried out by organizational leadership including the Executive Director as part of day-to-day operations and routine administrative review. Policies were communicated to staff and contractors and compliance expectations were reviewed during onboarding and reinforced during ongoing supervision. Potential compliance issues were addressed promptly through internal review corrective guidance and when necessary documentation of corrective actions. Financial transactions and operational activities were monitored through established internal controls regular review of financial records and compliance requirements associated with USDA-funded programs including SFSP and CACFP. This ongoing oversight ensured adherence to organizational policies program requirements and applicable federal and state regulations.”

“The compensation of the Executive Director was reviewed and approved by independent members of the organizations Board of Directors. In determining compensation the Board considered the Executive Directors responsibilities scope of work organizational size program complexity and budgetary capacity. The Board also considered comparable compensation data from similarly situated nonprofit organizations operating food access and youth-serving programs. The deliberation and decision regarding compensation were documented contemporaneously and approved prior to payment. This process was conducted to ensure that compensation was reasonable appropriate and consistent with the organizations mission and operational needs.”
