| Selah Theatre Project has truly been a beacon of inclusivity and representation in the Shenandoah Valley. By showcasing diverse voices and stories that are often underrepresented on mainstream stages, we have created a space where everyone can feel seen and heard. Through our 8 productions, they have not only provided opportunities for actors of color, child actors, individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, those with different abilities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community to shine on stage, but also for audiences to see themselves reflected in the stories being told. This commitment to diversity and inclusion is not only commendable but essential in fostering a more equitable and empathetic society. The impact of our work extends far beyond the stage, touching hearts and minds, and paving the way for a more inclusive future in the world of theatre. | - | $11,000 |
