Mission

Rehoboth Community Development Corporation (RCDC) exists to Create Equitable, Healthy, and Sustainable Communities that impract and build intergenerational prosperity within the Urban Phoenix and Canyon Corridor Neighborhoods (I-17 to 43rd Avenue and Indian School to Dunlap Roads) in partnership with stakeholders to improve the quality of life for low to-moderate income people.RCDC is recognized as a leader and convener in shaping and promoting collaborative planning and relationships that build stronger communities. Our programs focus on acquiring, rehabbing and developing affordable housing and commercial real estate, stimulating business and jobs creation, and delivering community and youth services.

FORM 990 PART 1 AND PART III LINE 1 ORGANIZATION MISSION Rehoboth Community Development Corporation (RCDC) exists to Create Equitable, Healthy, and Sustainable Communities that impact and build intergenerational prosperity within Urban Phoenix and Canyon Corridor Neighborhoods (I-17 to 43rd Ave and Indian School to Dunlap Roads). RCDC is recognized as a leader and convener in shaping and promoting collaborative planning and relationships that build stronger communities. Our programs focus on acquiring, rehabbing and developing affordable housing and commercial real estate, stimulating business and job creation, and delivering community and youth services. FORM 990 PART III LINE 4A PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS Here is a list of 2020: 1. Convened over 100 residents and stakeholders, on behalf of the Canyon Corridor Neighborhood Alliance (CCNA), to lay the foundation and develop strategies for a quality of life plan which will stage revitalization and improve the well-being of all ages within the community. 2.Lead the charge to create a Canyon Corridor Business Alliance while leveraging relationships to connect local business owners with technical assistance and financial resources. 3. Acquired and rehabilitated homes, in partnership with Chase Bank, and provided affordable homes to first-time home buyers. 4. People Educating and Centering Effects (PEACE) program completed year eight, impacting the lives of 45 youth and young people within and aging out of foster care through service learning, life skills and leadership development workshops. 5. Provided quality living at an affordable price, Rehoboth Place opened in April 2011 for 47 low-to-moderate income individuals/families. The project is the first major development within the Canyon Corridor in over 25 years. FORM 990 PART VI LINE 2 BUSINESS OR FAMILY RELATIONSHOP OF OFFICERS, ETC. WESLEY RELF AND GWEN RELF ARE MARRIED TO ONE ANOTHER. FORM 990 PART VI LINE 11B FORM 990 REVIEW PROCESS A copy of form 990 is provided to the governing body prior to its filing. The form 990 is reviewed by the Executive Director and any changes if necessary are forwarded to the tax preparer. FORM 990 PART VI LINE 12C EXPLANATION OF MONITORING AND ENFORCEMENT OF CONFLICTS- The Board of Directors are required to complete conflict of interest letter annually. FORM 990 PART VI LINE 15A COMPENSATION REVIEW AND APPROVAL PROCESS- CEO AND TOP MANAGEMENT- A review committee review annually the compensation. The review committee utilizes the ASU compensation study report as a way to compare compensation to the executive director with other executive directors throughout the state of Arizona. FORM 990 PART VI LINE 15B- COMPENSATION REVIEW AND APPROVAL PROCESS- OFFICERS AND KEY EMPLOYEES- Members of the executive committee provide an annual performance review for the CEO/Executive Director. The executive Director provides an annual review for all full-time staff. IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt1FORM 990 PART 1 AND PART III LINE 1 ORGANIZATION MISSION Rehoboth Community Development Corporation (RCDC) exists to Create Equitable, Healthy, and Sustainable Communities that impact and build intergenerational prosperity within Urban Phoenix and Canyon Corridor Neighborhoods (I-17 to 43rd Ave and Indian School to Dunlap Roads). RCDC is recognized as a leader and convener in shaping and promoting collaborative planning and relationships that build stronger communities. Our programs focus on acquiring, rehabbing and developing affordable housing and commercial real estate, stimulating business and job creation, and delivering community and youth services. FORM 990 PART III LINE 4A PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS Here is a list of 2020: 1. Convened over 100 residents and stakeholders, on behalf of the Canyon Corridor Neighborhood Alliance (CCNA), to lay the foundation and develop strategies for a quality of life plan which will stage revitalization and improve the well-being of all ages within the community. 2.Lead the charge to create a Canyon Corridor Business Alliance while leveraging relationships to connect local business owners with technical assistance and financial resources. 3. Acquired and rehabilitated homes, in partnership with Chase Bank, and provided affordable homes to first-time home buyers. 4. People Educating and Centering Effects (PEACE) program completed year eight, impacting the lives of 45 youth and young people within and aging out of foster care through service learning, life skills and leadership development workshops. 5. Provided quality living at an affordable price, Rehoboth Place opened in April 2011 for 47 low-to-moderate income individuals/families. The project is the first major development within the Canyon Corridor in over 25 years. FORM 990 PART VI LINE 2 BUSINESS OR FAMILY RELATIONSHOP OF OFFICERS, ETC. WESLEY RELF AND GWEN RELF ARE MARRIED TO ONE ANOTHER. FORM 990 PART VI LINE 11B FORM 990 REVIEW PROCESS A copy of form 990 is provided to the governing body prior to its filing. The form 990 is reviewed by the Executive Director and any changes if necessary are forwarded to the tax preparer. FORM 990 PART VI LINE 12C EXPLANATION OF MONITORING AND ENFORCEMENT OF CONFLICTS- The Board of Directors are required to complete conflict of interest letter annually. FORM 990 PART VI LINE 15A COMPENSATION REVIEW AND APPROVAL PROCESS- CEO AND TOP MANAGEMENT- A review committee review annually the compensation. The review committee utilizes the ASU compensation study report as a way to compare compensation to the executive director with other executive directors throughout the state of Arizona. FORM 990 PART VI LINE 15B- COMPENSATION REVIEW AND APPROVAL PROCESS- OFFICERS AND KEY EMPLOYEES- Members of the executive committee provide an annual performance review for the CEO/Executive Director. The executive Director provides an annual review for all full-time staff.
