“The leadership and advanced training events were full-day sessions aimed at more advanced advocates. The advanced session covered civil and family court issues in order for advocates to better serve crime victims with other legal matters and leadership focused on trauma-informed principles when dealing with staff. During acvs meetings a variety of agencies and organizations presented about their programming to the membership in order to spread knowledge and available resources in the community such as crisis service agencies, mental health providers, victims rights compliance, and various non-profits.”
