The financial committee will review the 990 first. Once it has met their satisfaction, it will be presented to the rest of the board for review at the next available, regularly scheduled monthly board meeting.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 12C

Staff and volunteers should avoid any situation which involves or may involve a conflict of interest between their personal interest and the interest of the agency. As in all other facets of their duties, staff and volunteers dealing with citizens, clients, community partners and any other person or business seeking to do business with compass, are expected to act in the best interest of the agency. Staff and volunteers must make prompt and full disclosure in writing to their immediate supervisor any potential situations which may involve a conflict of interest. This information will be elevated to the executive director and/or board of directors as needed. Such conflict may include but are not limited to: 1. Any arrangment or circumstance, including a family member or other personal relationship which might dissuade a staff member or volunteer from acting in the best interest of the agency. 2. Serving as a member, director, volunteer or partner with any agency or business in which that assocation might bring discredit to compass. 3. Any financial or business relationships that might appear to be inappropriate or bring discredit to compass. 4. Any relationship with a client, member of the court, community leader or other person, business or organization which might raise questions as to the integrity and credibility of the agency. Compliance - this policy is applicable to all staff, full or part time, and to volunteers working under the direction of compass. Any violation of this policy will be subject to administrative disciplinary action or immediate discharge. Any staff or volunteer having knowledge of any violation of the policy shall promptly report such violation to the appropriate level of management. Each manager is responsible for compliance within their area of responsibility. When questions arise concerning any aspect of this policy, contact the executive director. Reported violations of this policy will be reviewed by the executive director and/or board of directors as appropriate. Disciplinary action may be taken relevant to the nature and severity of the breech.

Compass center for families provides programming through advocacy, prevention, education and resource referrals to help support all families in johnson county & sheridan county. We support & help strengthen families by recognizing that all families need support while maintaining strong, healthy relationships. We provide parent education, supervised visitation & custodial exchanges, parent liaisons in sheridan county school district 2, shared parent mediation and co-parenting classes, court appointed special advocate volunteers (casa) and high fidelity wrap services. We offer services for children ages 0 - 21 & for primary care providers of all types.
