“To promote tourism for the city of tombstone through extensive advertising. The tombstone chamber of commerce was organized to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the tombstone area so that its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper. All necessary means of promotion shall be provided, and particular attention and emphasis shall be given to the civic, commercial, cultural, industrial, agricultural, economic, education, historical and tourism interests of the area. This organization, in its activities, shall be non-partisan, non-sectional and nonsectarian. It shall not be, by resolution or otherwise, committed to the support or endorsement of any candidate of public office. Community activities: the tombstone chamber partners with non-profit organizations such as lions club, as well as the city of tombstone itself act to assist and promote local events and activities for the benefit of the community. Past and present and planned: the tombstone chamber board and members volunteer in and create such events and activities as the annual christmas parade for the community. We have and plan to provided docent tours for historical enrichment. We provide promotional literature of local non- profit and profit organizations for the historical education and enrichment for the community and for the local tourism visitor. The tombstone chamber provides a community room for any organizations for free. The chamber provides administrative staff assistance to the members and the community. We do not fundraise for any specific organization and we are not organized solely to contribute or fundraise for any specific entity. However, at the discretion of the board of directors we may at times, choose to contribute to other organizations who share a similar mission and only if the contributions further our exempt status, with the objective to educate and see the growth of the community. At times, per the discretion of the board of directors, we may provide internships or volunteer opportunities which will provide opportunities for involvement in outreach activities and programs in order to have a greater impact for change. One of the activities that volunteers may be involved in is basic education on topics such as history, sales, customer service, and technology. Such activities shall always be free of charge or at a minimal cost that would cover the cost of the opportunity. As part of our activities, we will organize charity events for the communities in order to raise funds and awareness for the history of our historical town as well as provide entertainment for local families and youth. These activities are open to the public. These activities will be carried on by our volunteer guides to do a good deed by participating in a charity climb. These activities will be open to the public. All proceeds from such expeditions will be added to our general fund and shall be used to further our exempt status.”
