The board member in addition signs a commitment to serve, the board member's code of ethics, and conflict of interest policy. The conflict of interest policy is reviewed with the board annually to ensure all board members understand that they must disclose or remove themselves if a conflict arises, refuse any favorable or other compensation for their actions, they may not participate in any decision that would benefit them or a family member. If a board member is found to have breached the conflict of interest policy they will be removed from the board immediately and legal action may be pursued after consulting a legal opinion. Employees: upon hire and annually thereafter employees sign a conflict of interest policy as well as receive training on it. If a conflict arises the employee is required to disclose the information both to their supervisor and their personnel chart. The employee is removed from making any decisions or treating an individual were a conflict of interest arises.”
