The catalina council will offer programs and activities that instill values and teach life skills to an ever increasing number of youth by coordinating community resources to build tomorrow's leaders today.”

“Catalina council serves 6,304 youth in three counties in southeastern arizona. The council is organized as four geographic districts staffed by 3,233 adult mentors who are supported by 6 professional scouters. Each district provides programs and services to local community organizations. Providing additional support are 2 clerical support staff, and one camp ranger. The council is headquartered in tucson, arizona and also has an office in sierra vista, arizona. 375 cub scout packs, boy scout troops, varsity teams, venturing crews, explorer posts, and stem scouting labs are chartered to community organizations such as schools, churches, service clubs, parent groups, and other types of organizations. Integration of scouting programs with established community organizations is the bedrock of scouting's successful delivery of values and ideals to youth. These organizations and individuals work together to serve today's youth and tomorrow's leaders. Some of our accomplishments include: 156 eagle scouts, more than 28,700 hours of eagle scout community service, 2,519 cub scouts rank advancements, 1,399 boy scout rank advancements, 6950 merit badges earned, over 59,000 hours of community service from our members. Over 3,600 youth participated in weekend programs at camp lawton, located on mt. Lemmon. In addition, over 630 boy scouts attended a week-long summer camp experience at camp lawton also. Over 2,500 youth participated in weekend programs at double v scout ranch located in west tucson. In 2015, catalina council participated in a brand-new pilot program (coed ages 8-18) called stem scouting. Stem scouting is focused on fun and exciting opportunitied for girls and boys in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (stem). It encourages the natural curiosity of members and their sense of wonder about the world around them.”
