“Equity kids envisions a world where people are empowered to build a new, diverse society based on true equality and equity for all people. Equity kids supports the development of a beloved community, a term fostered by dr. Martin luther king jr. And john lewis that captured the imagination of people of goodwill all over the world. In a beloved community, racism and all forms of discrimination, bigotry, and prejudice are replaced by an all-inclusive spirit of sisterhood and brotherhood. For the fiscal year, we served 24 students in 2 schools and 2 community centers.”

“Equity kids launched programs in early 2022 for children, with the intention to add programming for parents/caregivers in the future. The goal of our childrens program is to bring children of different races together to build friendships and explore race. Younger children will learn to appreciate different cultures and ethnicities through fun interactions. Older children will build diverse relationships and explore topics progressing through four themes: identity, diversity, justice, and action. Recognizing the significant influence parents have on a childs willingness to form racially-diverse friendships, we are also providing support and resources for parents as we strive to create a path toward a more equitable and less divided future.”
