“| Other Expenses:, Amount:| First let me tell you about this community Bondeau Haiti. It is on the southern leg of Haiti along the coast. The people who live here are mostly unemployed peasants who seek out a living selling their home-grown crops or doing odd jobs for other poor peasants. I visited many of the peasants when I lived there. Most live in one room shacks built of sticks with a palm frond roof dirt floor. Of course there is no electricity nor running water. I visited many families in Bondeau and found that they sleep all in one room sometimes in one bed mother father and children. Outside the house usually in the front fire wood was arranged to create a cooking fire where the Haitian mom would cook one meal a day for her family I decided to invite children in the community to stay with me the poorest of the poor. I ended up with 13 children under my care and then later a 14th child joined us. The children were from the poorest in the community. Remember that all were poor but some were the poorest and these are the ones I chose for Kay Timoun. It took a while for the children to acclimate to their new environment and there were many time outs for poor behavior. The expenses to run the childrens home were enormous: school fees school uniforms shoes underwear socks book bags and books that were bought every year. And food to feed 14 hungry children three meals a day. Plus medical expenses.I was living in Bondeau year round coming back to South Florida two or three times a year for approximately ten years. A few years ago I moved back to South Florida to be closer to my Family and began fundraising with the help from Blessed Provisions. I keep in touch sending money for food school uniforms and education. I am proud to say that three of my girls are now in nursing school about to graduate. They are the oldest of the children so we hope and pray that the others follow in their footsteps., $11700|”
