Mission and Program Overview

Mission

To help orphaned and fostered children, and children in poverty or in dire economical circumstances, who are not able to provide food, shelter, education and medical resources for themselves in post-Soviet countries, mainly Ukraine, in the United States, and in other countries.

Primary focus is direct community services in Ukraine, primarily eastern region of Ukrainian controlled Donetsk region, as well as Kyiv, Kramatorks, Slavyansk, and Lutsk: helping orphaned and fostered children and their families, and children in poverty or in dire economical circumstances because of Russian aggression, who are affected by the war and not able to provide food, shelter, education and medical resources for themselves or from their families. Also in secondary focus: helping Ukranian refugees in Netherlands and the United States by providing PTSD counselling and helping them find a job, transportation and other community integration activities.

Provided direct community service: Shelter, food, and transportation to 150 children and their moms in 2 refugee camps, bought and delivered personally by our volunteers on the ground. Medicine, cleaning supplies, baby formula and diapers for this camp with 300 children in 2 other refugee camps in the Lviv region, around 450 children in total. Supplies for temporary schools, arts and craft, board games, and sports equipment. Deliver food and medicine to the East. Helped families with children in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk regions, around 120 families, who were left without shelter or food or whose parents were not able to provide for their families due to killed or injured or conscripted to the war. Provided summer camps for refugee kids in Morshyn, Lutsk, camp for special needs in Uzhgorod and camp in Kyiv orphanage - 150 kids total. Provided weekly session for orphan children and disadvantaged families with children in 3 orphanage/special need schools in Kyiv - 190 children total. Helped around 40 teenage children in Haag, Netherlands with obtaining job skills as well as 5 legal refugee families in the US (Colorado Springs, CO and Richmond, VA) in finding job, in providing transportation for them, and in filling out various government required forms and paperwork.$0$38,309
