DNA was incorporated on 11/23/2020 and is run by a small staff who are continually learning about complying with Form 990 filing requirements. Upon becoming aware of Form 990 filing requirements, the DNA made every effort to comply including engaging the advisory services of a CPA firm to assist in meeting these requirements. DNA will have policies in place to ensure compliance with Form 990 reporting requirements going forward and respectfully requests relief for the 2020 tax year as they incorporate and get up to speed.

Downtown naperville alliance is a nonprofit organization exempt from the income taxes under section 501(c)(6) of the internal revenue code, pursuant to a letter from the internal revenue service. Dna's tax returns are subject to examination by the irs, generally for three years after they were filed. For the year ended june 30, 2021, there were no income tax penalties or interest recognized in dna's financial statements. Management believes there are no undertain tax positions for the year ended june 30, 2021.
