| ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt | 0 | To Whom It May Concern, I am writing in response to the notice I received on September 22, 2025, regarding the late filing of Pasos for Oak Cliffs 2024 Form 990-EZ. As the Executive Director, I take full responsibility for this delay. Our organization works with a professional accountant to review our filings, and it is ultimately my responsibility to submit the return after review. Unfortunately, I mistakenly believed that I had completed and submitted the filing on time. As this is my first year serving as Executive Director and the only full-time employee of the organization, I was managing many responsibilities and must have unintentionally overlooked this important step. Upon receiving the IRS notice, I submitted the return as soon as possible. The return had already been reviewed and finalized by our accountant and was ready to be filed; it was my oversight that caused the delay in submission. I sincerely apologize for this error. This was not due to negligence, but rather a mistake while adapting to new responsibilities in my role. Please know that I take this matter seriously and have implemented new internal controls to ensure that all IRS filings are submitted promptly in the future. This situation will not happen again. Thank you for your understanding and consideration. |
