Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Our Delaware Collective for Creative Economy (DCCE) initiative brought together 26 artists, policymakers, and industry leaders to rebuild Delaware's creative infrastructure from the ground up. We didn't just talk about what artists needwe made it state policy. Our workgroup facilitated listening sessions that informed Delaware's strategic recovery plan, drafted the resolution for Delaware's first-ever film production incentive program, and trained staffers from the Delaware Small Business Development Center, who would go on to co-facilitate our BIPOC Artpreneur Training Program. The film incentive alone secured $1 million in rebates under the previous administrationfunding productions now streaming on Amazon and Tubiand the current governor just pledged $20 million to compete regionally. That's not just policy change. Our Artpreneur Program graduates went on to secure state and municipal contracts, including one content creator who has gone on to international acclaim for showcasing "First State Destinations". We reached hundreds of artists, arts consumers, policymakers, and stakeholders across the state. Not by telling them what they needed, but by building systems that actually hold them.$0$18,000
Access Instigators trained 30 accessibility coordinatorsmany of them disabled themselvesacross two six-month cohorts to support disability access solutions on film and television productions.Every coordinator completed 15 hours of on-set time before finishing the program, and all 30 have been hired to work on productions since training. We also consulted with three major studio productions on hiring and retention strategies for disabled crewmembers. One production changed storylines to reflect authentic disability narratives. Another restructured hiring practices. The third is still implementing changes internally.$0$17,676
The inaugural Rethink Ability Summit was a three-day convening with 22 sessions, hosting 320 human resources professionals. Attendees came together to learn how to expand accessibility beyond a compliance checkbox and start building workplaces that actually work for everyone. We provided 14 panel discussions and 8 interactive workshops on universal design, non-employee support systems for gig and contract workers, and the evolving landscape of ability at work. Attendees left with checklists, mini-guidebooks, and practical toolkits they could implement immediately.Post-event, HR managers reported increased awareness, pledged to modify operations, and committed to trying new accessibility strategies in their organizations. The tools we created are now being used to reshape workplace culture across industriesnot just film and television.$0$4,247
