ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt0During the filing period, I experienced an extraordinary and traumatic series of personal events that severely impacted my ability to manage financial and administrative responsibilities. My brother died by suicide, causing significant emotional distress and grief, and at the same time I discovered infidelity in my marriage, which resulted in severe emotional strain and an emotional breakdown. These events occurred concurrently and left me mentally and emotionally unable to function at my normal capacity for an extended period of time, making it impossible to complete and file the return by the required deadline. Once I began to recover and was able to resume normal responsibilities, the return was completed and filed as promptly as possible. I am still facing the challenging effects of both of these circumstances. The delay was not due to willful neglect, but to circumstances entirely beyond my control, and I respectfully request consideration for reasonable cause.
