990-ez-part III Program Service Accomplishments-candid Conversations

Candid conversations is our school based program that provides safe space for middle school girls to discuss mental well-being. Our partnership with atlanta public schools provides us the opportunity to host small group discussions each week at jean childs young middle school. Youth have an opportunity to speak candidly on various topics, all associated with mental health, led by our founder & ceo. Each group session is 1 hour long and includes discussion and self-care activities and snacks. This school year we served 12 girls through 31 group sessions and hosted social events in december and may. During bullying prevention week, our online campaign included a survival guide offering tips to students and parents on resolving issues that surround such aggressive and harmful behaviors. This year came to a close with a self-care college day panel that involved undergraduates from local atlanta colleges and universities. Grants $0, revenue $0

Self care saturday is our community-based program implemented to promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle. It engages the participation of youth in unique and free self-care activities throughout the year. We promote several wellness activities used in indoor and outdoor spaces. An average of 25 girls attends each event to become exposed to healthy habits and enjoy present moments through experiences such as hiking and yoga. We also build confidence by completing tasks that create a stronger awwareness of inner self (such as meditation)and increase self-esteem. Finally, the program provides small, achievable steps that help the girls develop a routine inspection of personal hygiene and empower them to raise concerns as their bodies change and grow-something they recently learned through a breast health workshop, which was one of six events we've hosted this year. Several physical and mental wellness events were planned august through october starting with hiking at bamboo mountain and a kid fit strong event at piedmont park. The back to school meditation night aimed to calm any emotional distress while skits and role-playing from my voice is my power event showed the girls how to value being assertive with confidence and grace. Finally, the crafts and creativity for the self-love is in event flowed with positivity and boosted personal growth grants $0 expenses $37 revenue $0
