The board Administrator will share the 990 with the Board Chair and President who will review it. They with then share it with the rest of the Board and give them a week to review it and sign once they have reviewed it.

The organization provides each officer and director with the conflict of interest policy when they are elected or appointed. The policy is also reviewed annually. If a potential conflict with any officer or director arises, the organization follows the conflict of interest policy and documents that in meeting minutes.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15A

The Director's hourly compensation is based on the following factors: 1) the director of the organization carries the most responsibility for its well-being; 2) The Gabinete members rate was $25/hour and we wanted the director to have a slightly higher scale but not dramatically higher; 3) Alianza wants to act on the same values we advocate for, which include fair living wages for workers by offering a competitive rate; 4) Because this position is an independent contractor, the rate is slightly higher to compensate for the taxes, liabilities and lack of benefits due to the consultant status; 5) There has not been an increase in recent years, we hope to be able to afford to provide raises in the near future.

In coalition with partner organizations, raise awareness of systemic inequities in treatment of immigrant and low-wage farmworkers and seek policy solutions such as legislative, judicial and administrative remedies. Our priority is to encourage local law enforcement to refrain from collaborating with federal immigration enforcement. Our other priorities include improving farmworker housing conditions by implementing rules and regulations for landlords and farm owners, passing workers' rights legislation and other pro-immigrant policy work such as language access, right to counsel when detained, and access to health care.This program is supported by contributions.

The policy is also reviewed annually. If a potential conflict with any officer or director arises, the organization follows the conflict of interest policy and documents that in meeting minutes.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt3The Director's hourly compensation is based on the following factors: 1) the director of the organization carries the most responsibility for its well-being; 2) The Gabinete members rate was $25/hour and we wanted the director to have a slightly higher scale but not dramatically higher; 3) Alianza wants to act on the same values we advocate for, which include fair living wages for workers by offering a competitive rate; 4) Because this position is an independent contractor, the rate is slightly higher to compensate for the taxes, liabilities and lack of benefits due to the consultant status; 5) There has not been an increase in recent years, we hope to be able to afford to provide raises in the near future.
