“1) In partnership with Kate Spade New York, the Mama Glow Foundation Mental Health Pocket Guide is a comprehensive, 120-page resource designed to improve mental health accessibility for underserved communities. Covering topics like sexual wellness, mindfulness, self-care, and behavioral health, the guide provides practical tools, resources, and culturally sensitive content aimed at fostering mental well-being. Available for free digital download and in print, this guide offers support to individuals seeking to prioritize their mental health. Launched during the 2023 UNGA week, it aims to bring global attention to the need for accessible mental health resources for marginalized communities. 2) The First Foods Justice Breastfeeding Certification Program is an innovative educational initiative aimed at empowering marginalized communities with the skills and knowledge needed to provide culturally competent breastfeeding support. This program trains community-based doulas and care workers as Community Lactation Educators, addressing the systemic barriers that Black and Brown families face when seeking lactation support. Through restorative justice principles, Mama Glow is working to expand access to professional lactation care, with a focus on closing the gap in the representation of BIPOC lactation consultants and improving breastfeeding outcomes in underserved communities. 3) The Love Delivered Initiative, funded by Carol???s Daughter, brings increased awareness to the Black maternal health crisis and works to empower Black birthing people and families before, during, and after birth. Through this initiative, the Mama Glow Foundation provides pro-bono doula services to Black families in need across six major U.S. cities. The initiative not only highlights the systemic challenges faced by Black birthing people but also offers a practical solution by providing professional, culturally sensitive support through doulas. By offering these services, Love Delivered seeks to improve maternal outcomes and address the deep-rooted disparities in maternal healthcare for Black families.”

Mama Glow???s partnership with Northwell Health also includes training nursing staff in the Mama Glow Professional Doula Training Program. This ensures that hospital staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide trauma-informed, culturally competent care. |

Through this initiative, the Mama Glow Foundation provides pro-bono doula services to Black families in need across six major U.S. cities.
