With the generous funding POS (Port of Support) & Pathwayz to Success was able to make a substantial difference in the lives of many individuals throughout our community. One of our immediate priorities was addressing hunger and basic needs. We successfully provided 130 hot meals to our unhoused community members, ensuring that they received not just food, but nourishment, dignity, and compassion during a time of hardship. Beyond meals, we took meaningful steps to improve living conditions for those without shelter. We distributed 50 tents, 50 blankets, 45 electric heaters, 25 winter coats, and 100 emergency blankets to 80 unhoused individuals. These resources were critical in helping them stay warm and safe, especially during the coldest months of the year. This effort represents our commitment to providing more than just temporary aid-it's about restoring hope and security. We were also able to provide transitional support for three survivors of domestic violence. These individuals were given the opportunity to begin anew in safe, stable housing. Our team worked closely with them to ensure their transition was supported with care, empathy, and access to essential services. Helping survivors reclaim their lives is central to our mission of healing and empowerment. In addition to meeting basic needs, we extended our outreach to focus on injury prevention and harm reduction, reaching over 200 community members across King County. These events provided vital information and resources on safer living, substance use support, and emergency preparedness-proactively working to reduce risk and improve overall community well-being. Another major area of impact was around firearm safety. We distributed 67 firearm lock boxes and provided educational training on firearm safety to various organizations and communities. By equipping families and individuals with tools and knowledge, we actively contributed to the prevention of accidental shootings and promoted responsible firearm ownership. As part of our commitment to community collaboration, we also sponsored another local organization to host a community outreach event. This sponsorship allowed for broader engagement, collective impact, and shared resources among organizations striving toward the same goals of safety, wellness, and inclusion. The accomplishments made possible through this investment reflect the heart of our mission. POS & Pathwayz to Success remains dedicated to building stronger, safer, and more compassionate communities. Every meal served, coat delivered, and life touched represents the power of solidarity and purposeful action. We distributed 50 tents , 50 blankets, 45 electric heaters, 25 winter coats, and 100 emergency blankets, and helped 80 unhoused individuals stay warm and safe during the harshest weather conditions. We were also able to provide transitional housing support for three survivors of domestic violence. This included initial housing costs, essential furnishings, transportation, and direct support services . These critical investments offered survivors the chance to begin again in safe and supportive environments, aligning with our mission to empower healing and independence. In addition to meeting basic needs, we expanded our work in injury prevention and harm reduction by hosting multiple events across King County. Reaching more than 200 community members, these events covered topics such as overdose prevention, emergency preparedness, and personal safety. Costs included supplies, educational materials, space rentals, and guest presenters. These gatherings not only informed but also built trust and resilience within the community. We also made meaningful progress in firearm safety and violence prevention. We distributed 67 firearm lock boxes at and hosted training sessions on responsible gun storage and safety protocols. Including training materials and facilitation costs, helping reduce the risk of accidental injury or misuse in our communities. In support of collective impact, we proudly sponsored a local partner organization to host a community outreach event, contributing towards meaningful community engagement, planning, outreach materials, and event logistics. This partnership expanded the reach of our combined efforts and strengthened our shared commitment to supporting vulnerable populations through collaboration and mutual support. The remaining the funding was allocated entirely to program-specific expenses-including transportation for participants, program materials, venue rentals, utility support for housed individuals, and emergency needs-not staffing or administrative costs. Every dollar of this funding directly impacted lives. The accomplishments made possible through this investment reflect the heart of our mission. POS & Pathwayz to Success remains dedicated to building stronger, safer, and more compassionate communities. Additional Explanations

Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16

Our 4th Annual Injury Prevention and Harm Reduction event was a tremendous success, bringing together over 100 community members for a day focused on safety, support, and education. We were able to provide valuable resources, including distributing 21 firearm lock boxes and 10 firearm locks, helping families secure firearms and promote responsible gun ownership. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to reducing gun violence and promoting safe practices within the community. In addition to providing essential safety tools, the event served as an opportunity to build stronger connections within the community. By offering a welcoming environment, we fostered meaningful conversations and engaged participants in activities that promoted health, safety, and mutual support. This collective effort allowed us to address critical issues while strengthening the sense of community and shared responsibility.

IRS990ScheduleA/Form990ScheduleAPartVIGrp/ExplanationTxt0In March 2023, my primary residence, which served as our nonprofit's administrative base, was damaged by fire. This caused temporary displacement and damage to critical equipment, making it impossible to file on time despite good-faith efforts. Compounding this, in 2024 I faced serious illness due to COVID-19 and family medical emergencies such as my 11 year old daughter tried to kill herself. These qualify as reasonable cause under IRS and Washington State guidelines.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0Our 4th Annual Injury Prevention and Harm Reduction event was a tremendous success, bringing together over 100 community members for a day focused on safety, support, and education.

ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt0In early March 2023, my primary residence-where our nonprofit's administrative work was conducted-was severely damaged in a house fire. This resulted in temporary displacement and the loss of essential equipment, including computers that stored key financial records. The fire made it impossible to access or reconstruct the necessary documents in time to meet the IRS filing deadline, despite our good-faith efforts. Recovery was further delayed by the need to arrange housing, replace damaged equipment, and attempt to recover digital files, some of which were permanently lost. Washington State law, including RCW 82.32.105, recognizes extenuating circumstances such as natural disasters and personal emergencies as valid reasons for delays in meeting legal obligations. These principles align with federal standards for "reasonable cause" relief. Compounding the disruption, my daughter experienced multiple medical emergencies, and I became seriously ill with COVID-19 complications. In light of these unexpected and uncontrollable events, I respectfully request that the IRS consider this a reasonable cause for our late filing. We remain committed to full compliance and have since implemented off-site backups and filing safeguards to prevent future issues.
