| YOUTH EMPOWERMENT Youth Empowerment Program primarily come from lower-income immigrant/minority populations. This 8-week program will empower youth to build the skills and confidence to reach their full potential and enact positive change in their communities. This program has impacted about 20-25 young people and has been a safe youth space for them to be creative, get homework help, socialize with friends and participate in community events. We have had success in the youth attending Workshops (culturally specific mental health and wellness); life-building skills, conversations, and support around race and social justice issues. | - | - |
| NEIGHBOR TO NEIGHBORWe provide a Kent, WA based women's support group for family resources and questions and answer monthly meetings.20-35 BIPOC women get together once a month to discuss community events, resources, concerns and learn from each other while sharing a meal. | CHILDCARE PROVIDER RESOURCESWe provide business planning and resources to childcare providers, stipends to purchase PPE supplies, assistance with licensing documents, resource research, and connection toCOVID-19 community resources.We provide services to 100-250 area in home childcare providers in the king county area. We supplied PPE supplies, resources and training as well a stipend of $500 to assist with general supplies and expenses for childcare. Monthly COVID group Q&A meetings, focus groups to assist childcare providers with creative support for the families they serve with needed extended hour childcare. | - | - |
| COMMUNITY NAVIGATOR (wrap around services) We make PPE supplies available to community members at no charge. We also provided wrap around services for rental assistance, utility assistance, mentor services, referrals, application assistance for public services, a space to use for virtual meetings and computer usage and space for workshops and translating services as needed. We provided wrap around services and resources for 600 plus BIPOC community members by assisting with rental assistance, utility assistance, PPE supplies, transportation to vaccine appointments, vaccine Q&A virtual meetings, encouraged them to attend community informational event.
