Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11

No review was conducted or will be conducted.

Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12C

The organization has a written Conflict of Interest Policy that applies to all officers, directors, trustees, and key employees. Each such individual is required to complete and sign an annual disclosure form identifying any financial or personal interests that could give rise to a conflict. The policy requires that when a conflict or potential conflict is identified, the individual must fully disclose the matter to the board of directors. The affected individual may not participate in discussions or vote on the matter. The board, or an authorized committee of disinterested directors, reviews the disclosed interest and determines whether the proposed transaction or arrangement is fair,

CEO executive director top management comp Part VI line 15A

The process for determining the compensation of the organizations top management official, as well as other officers and key employees, is based on a review and approval by the Board of Directors (or an authorized committee composed of independent board members). The Board relies on comparability data obtained from compensation surveys of similarly sized nonprofit organizations in the same geographic area and/or published salary studies for comparable positions. The deliberations and decisions are documented in the board or committee meeting minutes,

Governing documents etc available to public Part VI line 19

The organizations governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements are available to the general public upon request. Requests may be made in writing to the organizations principal office.

Form 990, Part III, Line 4a Description of Program Service Accomplishment (continued): tools, frameworks, and partnerships to enhance career exploration and workforce readiness in their communities. This convening demonstrates BEAs capacity to serve as an effective intermediary, aligning educational institutions, business partners, and community stakeholders around the shared goal of ensuring all Colorado students have access to meaningful career exploration and clear pathways to economic opportunity. Form 990, Part III, Line 4b Description of Program Service Accomplishment (continued): meaningful relationships between classroom learning and real career pathways. Form 990, Part III, Line 4d Other Program Services: During the 2024-25 program year, 410 high school students earned Professionalism101 certificates upon completing comprehensive soft skills training in workplace readiness and professional behavior. BEAs innovative curriculum addresses the disconnect between education and workforce readiness through two complementary programs. Professionalism101 delivers essential soft skills training through self-paced, experiential learning that students apply in real-world contexts, building competencies in professional communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and workplace behaviors. The Postsecondary & Workforce Readiness program provides systematic career exploration, helping students discover their interests and aptitudes, investigate career opportunities, and develop clear pathways from high school through postsecondary education to employment. This comprehensive approach helps students understand the purpose behind their education, creates generational hope, and addresses critical workforce development needs by ensuring graduates enter the job market with both professional skills and career direction, ultimately strengthening Colorados talent pipeline.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0During the 2024-25 program year, BEA provided design thinking consulting services to support career-connected learning initiatives in two Colorado school districts through three distinct projects. These TAC consulting engagements applied proven methodologies to help school leaders develop tailored, sustainable approaches to career-connected learning. Through collaborative stakeholder engagement processes, BEA facilitated strategic planning that resulted in actionable frameworks for aligning education and industry partnerships within each districts unique context. The consulting work emphasized building organizational capacity, creating repeatable systems, and establishing structures that will continue to benefit students and educators beyond the initial project timeline. These partnerships demonstrate BEAs ability to translate best practices in workforce development into practical, community-specific solutions that can scale across diverse educational settings.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt6Form 990, Part III, Line 4a Description of Program Service Accomplishment (continued): tools, frameworks, and partnerships to enhance career exploration and workforce readiness in their communities.
