“Nile heritage foundation believes in access to education for all. That is the reason why we are building a self sustaining primary school in gotolal, uganda. The school will offer classes from kindergarten to 7th100 grade.”

“Education program according to a baseline study for community needs conducted october 2022 in gotolal village and neighboring villages by loyal link innovations ltd where 2276 people were interviewed, 56% of households reported having children of school age who were not in school mostly ages 5-8 years old. The remaining 44% of households who reported having children in school also reported a high rate of absenteeism. The main barriers to education included long distances to walk to access schools, lack of school requirements/supplies, poverty in the household, and lack of access to clean drinkable water. The later disproportionately affects girls since they bare the responsibility of collecting water for households before going to school. Since there is no school to serve the community of gotolal, nile heritage foundation is building a self-sustaining primary school in gotolal village to provide an education from pre-kindergarten to primary 7 (grade 7). The school will also serve as a training facility for after school programs for over 2000 people to facilitate community empowerment.”
