The clock foundation was formed for the specific and primary purpose of conducting medical research on aging and age-related diseases. Developing the epigenetic aging clock into a useful technology will require medical research on aging and age-related diseases. Consequently, the activity will advance clock foundation's specific purpose of conducting medical research on aging and age-related diseases. If the medical research of the clock foundation is successful and the fda approves the clock foundation's testing method, many new drugs or treatments that are able to reverse epigenetic aging could then be formally approved by the fda for the treatment of aging and for use in preventative medicine.
The epigenetic clock development foundation ("clock foundation") was formed to enable rigorous medical research on aging and longevity. Our research mainly involves use and development of new aging biomarkers known as epigenetic clocks for testing the effectiveness of longevity treatments within preclinical and clinical studies.

“External research collaborations: many interventional studies completed one of the most significant promises of epigenetic clocks is to act as a reliable biomarker to evaluate putative longevity treatments. We conducted many new interventional studies, for clinical trials and also preclinical studies, some with exciting effects and others with mediocre or negative results. This includes studies on plasmapharesis, young plasma treatment, stem cell exosomes, umbilical cord plasma, and a senolytic gene therapy. Mechanisms of aging studies ongoing another key application of epigenetic clocks is to help enable mechanistic studies, including the link of epigenetic aging to other aging hallmarks. Exciting mechanistic studies this past year included ones on ercc1 progeria models, bone marrow transplants, and progeria cell lines.”
