Hundreds more are served through chase the victory's in-hospital/home programming for children and teens fighting cancer. Chase the victory retreats are havens for grieving families, offering grieving families professional counseling, wellness therapy, therapeutic activities, lodging, meals, and community support at no cost to families. The children and families we serve gain a renewed sense of hope, resilience, and a stronger belief that joy and sorrow can coexist. We help families grieving the loss of a child experience support, community, and hope. We provide impactful experiences for grieving children and parents in a heartfelt, practical way that brings healing and hope during a time of great suffering. Through our pediatric oncology programs, we have provided support, resources, and community for over 1000 pediatric cancer patients including our kickback sneaker gift program. Each year, at children's hospitals, chase the victory provides gifts of sneakers to all hospitalized patients on the oncology floor. These pediatric cancer patients and their families are encouraged and surrounded by community in a world that is often clouded by their diagnosis. We create meaningful and joyful experiences for kids and teens battling pediatric cancer. We share hope and spread kindness to families during the most challenging times of their lives. Because of the generosity of our donors, 100% of all families who attend chase the victory's children and family bereavement programs, pediatric oncology programs, retreats, counseling services, or support services participate in our programming at no cost. The impactful mission of chase the victory emerged from the heart of 16-year-old chase mcdaniel, who was fighting cancer while simultaneously comforting and encouraging other children and teens who were going through battles of their own. While facing his own battle with cancer, chase launched the vision of gifting sneakers as a visual symbol to share hope to others. We continue to fulfill his vision by gifting sneakers and encouraging teenagers battling cancer all across the nation. Chase mcdaniel was a high school football player from carrollton, georgia, #42. Chase became a voice and an advocate for other teens fighting cancer. His spirit, faith, joy, and determination inspired people to join his mission of hope. When chase passed away at the age of 17, he had united thousands of people locally and around the nation surrounding his cause. Since then, the foundation bearing his name has evolved into a movement that is sweeping across the united states. Today, chase the victory serves hundreds of families locally and nationwide every year. Chase the victory is devoted to ensuring that no family has to navigate their journey alone.”

CHASE HAD THE VISION TO USE HIS LOVE FOR SNEAKERS AS A WAY TO SHARE HOPE AND MAKE SOMEONE ELSE SMILE. HIS HEART AND LOVE FOR OTHERS ARE A PART OF HIS LEGACY THAT CONTINUES TODAY. WE CONTINUE TO FULFILL HIS VISION BY ENCOURAGING TEENAGERS WHO ARE BATTLING CANCER: BY GIVING THEM ONE OF HIS FAVORITE GIFTS... SNEAKERS. EVERY GIFT OF SHOES THAT CHASE THE VICTORY GIVES AWAY IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE THE MESSAGE OF HOPE, SPREAD KINDNESS, AND REMIND THOSE WE ENCOUNTER TO LIVE LIFE IN VICTORY, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEY MAY BE FACING. TO OTHERS, IT MAY SEEM LIKE JUST A PAIR OF SHOES. BUT FOR TEENS WHO ARE FIGHTING CANCER OR GRIEVING THE LOSS OF A SIBLING, THIS GIFT FROM CHASE THE VICTORY IS A SYMBOL OF HOPE AND A REMINDER THAT THEY ARE NOT ALONE. WHETHER WE ARE PRESENTING GIFTS DURING ONE OF OUR KINDNESS CAMPAIGNS OR DELIVERING GIFTS TO PATIENTS ON THE AFLAC CANCER & BLOOD DISORDER FLOOR AT CHILDREN'S HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA, THESE TENDER MOMENTS ARE AMAZING EXPERIENCES SURROUNDED IN LOVE. EACH RECIPIENT HAS A STORY THAT WILL CAPTURE THE HEART. |
