“The organization engaged with more than 300 people in the general public and throughout different communities in maine promoting maine's fishing heritage. These engagements occurred, in person, with phone calls, and via zoom meetings. The organization also engaged with more than 5,000 lobstering license holders. The organization has sent out more than 1,000 newsletters chronicling the organization's activities. The organization was instrumental in founding frenchman bay united to inform and educate residents regarding the impact of large-scale industrial aquaculture projects. The organization participated in numerous lectures and meetings/discussions. In 2022, the organization also engaged in conversations with more than 30 communities regarding large scale industrial acquaculture. Eight of those communities and towns have chosen to pass large scale industrial acquaculture emergency moratoriums.”
