DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Seeking Safety Support Groups Women's Seeking Safety Group The Women's Seeking Safety Group is a trauma-informed, peer-led workshop series designed to support women who have experienced trauma and/or substance use. Grounded in the evidence-based Seeking Safety model, these workshops create a safe, non-judgmental space where participants can build coping skills, develop emotional resilience, and reconnect with their sense of empowerment. The group fosters healing through open dialogue, peer connection, and practical tools that help women manage triggers, set boundaries, and move forward in their recovery journey with strength and dignity. Men's Seeking Safety Group The Men's Seeking Safety Group provides a supportive and structured environment for men who have faced trauma and substance use challenges. Using the Seeking Safety curriculum, this group focuses on building inner strength, emotional regulation, and healthier relationships. It encourages participants to explore vulnerability without shame, while learning practical strategies for safety, accountability, and self-awareness. Through peer support and guided reflection, men gain tools to manage their past, reclaim their present, and envision a more empowered future. MARC facilitated weekly support groups focused on seeking safety for men and women. Women's groups met on Tuesdays, while men's groups met on Thursdays, each led by an on-site peer specialist. Impact: These groups provided a safe space for participants to share experiences and receive peer support. The inclusion of case management addressed broader needs such as housing placement through partnerships with developers and landlords, significantly aiding participants in achieving stability.$67,399$67,399
