Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

The bridge of southern new mexico is solely focused on playing the role of the backbone in a collective impact initiative that connects the educational, workforce and economic development assets of dona ana county to increase high school graduation rates and create seamless pathways for students from high school to college and/or career. Since the work began, graduation rates have increased from 51% in 2007 (prior to the bridge's formation) to 83% in 2020. As a result of this increase, the county can project increased incomes from these graduates of 6 to 10 million annually. The bridge has partnered with and connected 25 public and private sector partners. The first outcome of the bridge was the launch of the arrowhead park early college high school, which continues to experience near 100% graduation rates. The school and the business-led education-focused partnership has continued to serve as a model for the state. The bridge continues to be a champion for dual credit courses, which can be directly correlated to the state's rising graduation rates and confirmed by countless research studies. The bridge is now working to address the second of its two goals -to build a skilled and ready workforce for the county, and is currently leading a collaboration of partners in implementing a plan to guide future efforts in the county and region.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0THE BRIDGE OF SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO IS SOLELY FOCUSED ON PLAYING THE ROLE OF THE BACKBONE IN A COLLECTIVE IMPACT INITIATIVE THAT CONNECTS THE EDUCATIONAL, WORKFORCE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ASSETS OF DONA ANA COUNTY TO INCREASE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION RATES AND CREATE SEAMLESS PATHWAYS FOR STUDENTS FROM HIGH SCHOOL TO COLLEGE AND/OR CAREER.
