IT IS NEVER THE PRIMARY TEACHING MEDIUM. IN FACT, ZFFC STAFF CAN SEE THAT WHAT THE KIDS CRAVE IS COLLABORATIVE INTERACTION, HANDS ON, BODY MOVEMENT. PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT EXPERTISE ZFFC HAS A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE IN CREATING AND IMPLEMENTING PROGRAMS THAT ADDRESS ACADEMIC, EMOTIONAL, AND DEVELOPMENTAL NEEDS. THE CENTERS APPROACH IS ROOTED IN BEST PRACTICES FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, INFORMED BY ONGOING RESEARCH AND COLLABORATION WITH EXPERTS IN THE FIELD. “Zia family focus center year 2025 zia family focus center had another productive year we offered a mix of innovative classes that challenged the students and inspired them to collaborate and create zffc believes in learning through doing. We are hands on be it gardening (hands in the dirt), cooking (hands in the dough), art making, sewing, music, yoga, woodworking we are using our bare hands to create by touch. This is a visual, tactile program we are using our bodies and brains to learn. We do not use electronic mediums (unless it is briefly and to visually illustrate and complement instruction). It is never the primary teaching medium. In fact, zffc staff can see that what the kids crave is collaborative interaction, hands on, body movement. Whenever we can, we go outside to observe, to play, to make use of zias amazing outdoor areas and our native plant oasis (created by zffc students and an ongoing project). Zffc sustains its programs through a combination of funding sources, tuition, including private donations, grants, and partnerships with local organizations and government agencies. These financial resources allow zffc to provide services at low or no cost to many families, ensuring that youth from all backgrounds have access to high-quality afterschool and summer programs. Program development expertise zffc has a wealth of knowledge in creating and implementing programs that address academic, emotional, and developmental needs. The centers approach is rooted in best practices for youth development, informed by ongoing research and collaboration with experts in the field. This knowledge base is constantly evolving to ensure that their programs remain relevant and effective in meeting the changing needs of youth. Programming changes each semester. Zffcs ability to deliver high-quality out-of-school time programs is evident in its comprehensive resources across human, physical, financial, and informational domains. The centers experienced and well-trained staff, supported by strong physical facilities and financial backing, positions zffc as a leader in providing effective and impactful childcare services. Zffcs knowledge-driven approach and commitment to continuous improvement further demonstrate capacity to meet and exceed the competencies required to deliver outstanding youth development services. IT IS NEVER THE PRIMARY TEACHING MEDIUM. IN FACT, ZFFC STAFF CAN SEE THAT WHAT THE KIDS CRAVE IS COLLABORATIVE INTERACTION, HANDS ON, BODY MOVEMENT.
