Financial Statement Notes

Schedule D, Page 3, Part X

Creativity for peace (cfp) is exempt from income taxes under section 501 (c)(3) of the internal revenue code, and has been classified by the internal revenue service as an organization that is not a private foundation. Cfp regularly evaluates activities as it relates to its tax exempt status. If cfp activities are determined to be outside of its tax exempt status the potential exists for tax liabilities on those unrelated activities. Currently, cfp engages in no activities that would be taxed as unrelated business income. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been reflected in the cfp consolidated financial statements. Cfp income tax filings are subject to audit by various taxing authorities. Cfp open audit periods are for the years ended december 31, 2015 and thereafter. Cfp adopted the provision of fasb asc 740-10, "accounting for uncertainty in income taxes". Cfp has not recognized any changes to the consolidated financial statements for uncertain tax positions.

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0CREATIVITY FOR PEACE (CFP) IS EXEMPT FROM INCOME TAXES UNDER SECTION 501 (C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE, AND HAS BEEN CLASSIFIED BY THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE AS AN ORGANIZATION THAT IS NOT A PRIVATE FOUNDATION.
