“The albuquerque hispano chamber of commerce has members who apply for membership and who are regarded as a guarantee on the part of the applicant and their interest in and sympathy with the purposes of the chamber. Only distinction in public affairs shall confer eligibility of honorary membership. Honorary membership shall include all privileges of active members, except that of holding office, with exemption from payment of dues election of honorary membership shall require an affirmative vote of a majority of the board of directors present at any meeting. An honorary membership may be revoked by two-thirds of the directors present at any meeting.”

“If candidates for the board of directors have been nominated by the petition method, ballots will be mailed to each member of the chamber for vote. Only nominations by petition are voted on by members.”

“The form 990 is presented to the executive committee for review at their regularly scheduled monthly meeting. The completed 990 is presented to members of the board of directors prior to filing.”

“No director shall participate in any discussion or vote on any issue in which the director has a direct financial or personal interest that creates a conflict of interest between the chamber and the director upon employment of any person, and annually thereafter, all employees are required to provide a statement on the form provided by the albuquerque hispano chamber of commerce, attesting that they are not involved with another business or parties to any outside agreement to serve the interest of any person, business or agency that is, or may be, in conflict or competition with the interest, purposes, activities, and mission of the albuquerque hispano chamber of commerce.”
