“The organization offers a variety of voting and non-voting memberships. In order to be eligible for consideration for membership, all applicants must complete and sign the form of application provided by the association. All applicants for membership are then recommended to the board by the membership committee or in such other manner as determined by the board. Members of any classification may be removed from membership by the board for cause by a two-thirds vote of the board. For any reason other than non-payment of dues, removal shall occur only after the member being considered for removal has been advised of the cause for removal and has been given a reasonable opportunity to present his or her position to the board.”

“The primary member of the principal and associate classes of paid memberships shall be a voting member. Voting members have the right to elect officers and directors as set forth in the bylaws. The board will put forth a slate to the members each year of board directors who are to be elected to the positions being vacated. This election will be held annually by electronic written ballot based on the leadership development policy set by the board.”

“At all meetings of the association, each primary principal member, additional principal, government, or associate member ("voting members") shall have one (1) vote. Twenty percent (20%) of the voting members of the association present at any meeting shall constitute a quorum. All violations of the written conflict of interest policy will be discussed and dealt with at the discretion of the board of directors.”

“The executive committee reviews the executive directors performance annually and determines the salary using the asae (american society of association executives) compensation survey. Staff salaries are determined by the executive director with input from the executive committee.”
