In connection with any actual or possible conflict of interest, an interested person must disclose the existence of the financial interest and be given the opportunity to disclose all material facts to the directors and members of committees with governing board delegated powers considering the proposed transaction or arrangement. After disclosure of the financial interest and all material facts, and after any discussion with the interested person, he/she shall leave the governing board or committee meeting while the determination of a conflict of interest is discussed and voted upon. The remaining board or committee members shall decide if a conflict of interest exists. A. An interested person may make a presentation at the governing board or committee meeting, but after the presentation, he/she shall leave the meeting during the discussion of, and the vote on, the transaction or arrangement involving the possible conflict of interest. B. The chairperson of the governing board or committee shall, if appropriate, appoint a disinterested person or committee to investigate alternatives to the proposed transaction or arrangement. C. After exercising due diligence, the governing board or committee shall determine whether mae el salvador can obtain with reasonable efforts a more advantageous transaction or arrangement from a person or entity that would not give rise to a conflict of interest. D. If a more advantageous transaction or arrangement is not reasonably possible under circumstances not producing a conflict of interest, the governing board or committee shall determine by a majority vote of the disinterested directors whether the transaction or arrangement is in the organization's best interest, for its own benefit, and whether it is fair and reasonable. In conformity with the above determination it shall make its decision as to whether to enter into the transaction or arrangement. Each director, principal officer and member of a committee with governing board delegated powers shall annually sign a statement which affirms such person: a. Has received a copy of the conflicts of interest policy, b. Has read and understands the policy, c. Has agreed to comply with the policy, and d. Understands mae el salvador is charitable and in order to maintain its federal tax exemption it must engage primarily in activities which accomplish one or more of its tax-exempt purposes.

FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Hope center: in 2024, the organization continued to provide free educational services to at-risk youth and adults in el salvador through the hope center. A total of 166 students participated in educational programs, including: a. 4 students in literacy classes, b. 4 students in special education classes, c. 45 students in music classes, d. 18 students in academic tutoring, e. 60 students in the leveling program, and f. 35 students in summer courses. Students ranged in age from 7 to 66 years old. A total of 18 students registered for the tutoring program during the year, and 11 students completed the program. All 11 students who completed tutoring advanced to the next grade level. Of the 38 students registered for proficiency exams through the leveling program, 36 completed the exams, and 25 passed, including 12 students who completed high school requirements. The organization provided weekly internet data packages and school supplies to students through an incentive-based points system. Eight scholarships were awarded in 2024, supporting students enrolled in barber school, university programs, and a private christian elementary school.

Special projects: the organization continued support for two long-term beneficiaries: a. Rina, a young woman with cerebral palsy, experienced improved health outcomes, including reduced frequency of seizures and increased communication abilities. Her caregivers reported stronger resilience, and efforts are underway to increase her exposure to new environments through outings. B. Joseline, a former participant in the organization's youth ministry programs in el salvador, completed her third year at milligan university while double majoring in graphic design and business administration. Through ongoing scholarship assistance and mentorship, the organization has continued to support joseline's academic and personal growth, providing 2,000 annually toward uncovered tuition costs.

Other projects and programs: a. Church ministry and discipleship: in 2024, the organization continued its christian ministry through weekly bible-based church services, discipleship groups, and monthly outreach activities in nejapa, el salvador. 1 weekly church services: the organization held weekly worship services, with an average attendance of 50 participants. Services provided biblical teaching, fellowship, and opportunities for spiritual growth for youth, families, and the surrounding community 2 discipleship groups: five separate discipleship groups met weekly, offering structured small-group study, mentorship, and support to participants. In addition, one-on-one christian discipleship was provided to a total of 28 youth across all ministry programs. 3 monthly youth activities: the organization held nine monthly activities focused on building community, fostering mentorship, and exposing youth to new experiences outside their normal environments. Activities included outings such as hiking, camping trips, and visiting local parks, designed to nurture physical, emotional, and spiritual development in a safe, christ-centered setting. Through these efforts, the organization worked to fulfill its mission of making disciples, nurturing faith, and encouraging christ-centered leadership among youth and families in the community. B. Sports outreach: in 2024, the organization offered athletic programs to at-risk youth: 1 running: 15 youth participated in training; 10 competed in four road races. 2 soccer: 42 youth participated in training sessions, community tournaments, and friendly matches. 3 softball: 12 youth participated in weekly practices and events. The sports outreach programs collectively served 69 unique youth and young adults in 2024. C. Facilities development: in 2024, the organization made significant progress on the construction of a perimeter wall around its property in el salvador. This project was undertaken to improve safety, security, and accessibility for current and future educational and outreach programs.

THE SPORTS OUTREACH PROGRAMS COLLECTIVELY SERVED 69 UNIQUE YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS IN 2024. C. FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT: IN 2024, THE ORGANIZATION MADE SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PERIMETER WALL AROUND ITS PROPERTY IN EL SALVADOR. STUDENTS RANGED IN AGE FROM 7 TO 66 YEARS OLD. A TOTAL OF 18 STUDENTS REGISTERED FOR THE TUTORING PROGRAM DURING THE YEAR, AND 11 STUDENTS COMPLETED THE PROGRAM. ALL 11 STUDENTS WHO COMPLETED TUTORING ADVANCED TO THE NEXT GRADE LEVEL. OF THE 38 STUDENTS REGISTERED FOR PROFICIENCY EXAMS THROUGH THE LEVELING PROGRAM, 36 COMPLETED THE EXAMS, AND 25 PASSED, INCLUDING 12 STUDENTS WHO COMPLETED HIGH SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED WEEKLY INTERNET DATA PACKAGES AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO STUDENTS THROUGH AN INCENTIVE-BASED POINTS SYSTEM.
