| Justice Professionals - Consulting. ICT resources regulatory agencies, law enforcement and prosecution with the human trafficking case experience and expertise necessary to generate usable investigations and trial-ready cases. In addition, we work with agencies that assist law enforcement and prosecution in equipping their teams with the expertise and resources they need to combat trafficking more effectively. In 2024 ICT assisted multiple state and local law enforcement agencies in the development of cases, worked with prosecutors structuring cases and continued our partnership with the University of Texas, Institute of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, training experts and prosecutors in the use of expert witnesses in human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, strangulation and stalking cases. ICT resolved a multi-year child labor trafficking case with two defendants and six named victims in Burnet County, Texas. | $0 | $37,419 |
| Cities for Justice. Prevention. The Cities For Justice Solution exists to challenge, equip, and celebrate communities determined to prevent, interdict, and eradicate human trafficking. For the past several years ICT consulted with, advised and evaluated the 12 county STOP Human Trafficking Task Force, one of OVC's Enhanced Collaborative Model Grantees. In 2024 ICT completed the assessment of the Task Force and provided an extensive written evaluation to OVC. | $0 | $12,473 |
| Training. ICT offers training for the public, criminal justice professionals, industry, and others likely to encounter trafficking. Our programs range from introductions to the topic to full or multi-day sessions designed for those involved in investigation, prosecution, policy, or victim services. Each presentation is tailored to the audience so they leave with knowledge and skills they can immediately implement. ICT training is case-based, experiential and flows from decades of working with investigators, prosecuting cases, walking alongside victims and formulating policy, coupled with the latest research. In 2024 ICT provided training to law enforcement, prosecutors, corrections and parole officers, probation officers, expert witnesses, members of the public through civic organizations and victim serving agencies among others. These trainings ranged from 1 hour public awareness sessions to multi-day sessions focusing on case development, use of experts, investigation and trial strategy. ICT created multiple new trainings during 2024 covering topics like confrontation, creating a legislative strategy for human trafficking, wayfinding in human trafficking, and tackling defense experts as well as equipping the court in gender-based violence cases. | $0 | $12,473 |
| Other Program Services. In 2024 ICT began serving as a member of the U.S. Department of Transportation funded Multidisciplinary Task Force headed by UC San Diego TREDS and TAT and tasked with developing and launching a validated human trafficking screening tool for law enforcement. ICT provided multiple consultations with media seeking background on the crime of human trafficking, university researchers working on different aspects of trafficking, and students and young professionals who want to work in the anti-trafficking field. ICT also provided direct consultation with or on behalf of trafficked people or survivors of trafficking including working with family, friends, victim-serving organizations, law enforcement or others assisting people who were or are trafficked. This includes analysis of the victim's current situation, provision of information about the criminal justice system, potential avenues of assistance and insight into what the trafficked person may be experiencing with the system. ICT also worked directly with survivors of trafficking who need information about the criminal justice system and/or are looking for a prosecutorial assessment of the conduct they endured, connection to law enforcement and prosecution, development of evidence and presentation of case facts to law enforcement. | $0 | $12,473 |
