360 Eats, Inc primary purpose is to be the leading non-profit in the Tampa Bay area addressing the cycle of food waste, food insecurity, and sustainability through the dignified service of innovative culinary solutions. Our mission is to create a just and sustainable food system, free from hunger and waste. We transform good food that would otherwise go to waste into nutritious solutions that nourish the communities of Tampa Bay. These initiatives addressed food insecurity, created sustainable solutions to reduce food waste, and supported the community's access to nutritious meals. The Food Rescue Program remained at the heart of 360 Eats' mission, rescuing surplus, fresh food from local food businesses, farms, and distributors that would otherwise have gone to waste. Throughout the year, the program successfully diverted thousands of pounds of food from landfills, redirecting it to families and individuals in need. This initiative helped reduce food waste, supported sustainability, and provided nutritious meals to those facing hunger. By the end of the year, 360 Eats had rescued 117,143 pounds of food, which translated into thousands of meals distributed across the community. Additionally, the CommUnity Kitchen program served as a mobile solution to food insecurity, providing free, chef-prepared meals to food-insecure individuals across South St. Petersburg and beyond. The program continued to thrive in 2024, with meals prepared from rescued food and distributed through a mobile food truck. The program not only addressed immediate hunger needs but also promoted community engagement, providing an opportunity for local residents to connect with resources, learn about food security, and access nutritious meals. In total, 360 Eats served 21,727 free meals in 2024. 360 Eats also saw significant success with its catering social enterprise, which brought in just under $40,000 of funding in 2024. This service, operated from a mobile food truck, provided catering for events across the Tampa Bay area, further expanding the organization's reach. The revenue generated from catering services supported the ongoing work of 360 Eats, including the food rescue and community meal programs. Together, these programs made a profound difference in the lives of many, reducing food waste, enhancing food security, and providing opportunities for greater community support in Pinellas County. |
